Every Wednesday there is an Xplore club running in Ysgol Syr Hugh Owen and this is led by Reuben Florence and David Hull. The main aim is to introduce secondary students to the gospel and allowing them the opportunity to xplore what it means to be a christian..
Fridays: Cellnet is held between 7:30 - 9:30. The group is overseen by Steve and Becky Morris and is an opportunity for young people to get to know more about the amazing God that we serve. The group consist of three weeks of evangelistic meetings where young people are able to invite their friends to some games, fun and food with a 10 minute God slot at the end. Once a month there is a greater emphesis on Worship and Word and this is an opportunity for those that might have started attending to maybe respond to the gospel and for the regular ones to get really into worshiping God.
Sundays: We have two youth groups running on sunday morning namely Frequency (10-13) and Energize (14 - 17). Frequency is overseen by Reuben Florence and his team of leaders and provides an opportunity to learn more about God and the Bible. The group runs every sunday even through the school holidays. Energize is overssen by Catherine Hummel and again emphasis is on teaching the youth about God and His word. Energize is run for three sundays of the month following the first sunday being a serving sunday where the youth are encouraged to serve the church using the gifts that God has given them. On the serving sundays the Energize group usually meet after church to engage in an organised activity with the youth leaders i.e pizza making, walking and barbecues etc.
Further to this there are opportunities for the Young People to be involved in Off the Edge, Frenzy, Alive and missions to name a few.
